Greenville, South Carolina will host their 14th Annual Artisphere from May 11 through 13, 2018. Free and open to the public, Artisphere is a family-friendly experience that will make you want to return year after year. This weekend-long event started in 2005 and has grown to become one of the most exciting spring outings.
Attractions at Artisphere
With 135 exhibitor spaces, 3 stages of performance art, demonstrations, food stations and 2 children’s areas, this is not an ordinary arts fest. This is a feast for the senses and a stimulating experience for the whole family.
Artists from an extensive variety of fields will have their creations on display and available for purchase.

Food is available at the Culinary Arts Café. A comprehensive menu has been prepared to tempt all types of patrons. The food is sourced from Greenville eateries and offers the best in Southern cooking. The Wine & Craft Beer Experience is open to adults from 1:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. daily. Non-alcoholic beverages are accessible throughout the venue.
Music, dance, and theater will be presented each day during Artisphere. From local performers to headliners, there will be something for everyone to enjoy. Check out the full schedule and plan your route accordingly.

Another area focuses on STEAM (science, technology, engineering, arts, and mathematics) with interactive activities sponsored by Clemson University. Loaded with demonstrations, activities, and displays, visitors can interact with Clemson students, faculty and staff and discuss how the sciences harmonize with the arts. Children’s Activities at Artisphere
Children have specially designated sections called Kidsphere that feature hands-on crafts, demonstrations, and more.
There are a number of activities geared toward encouraging the artistic side of the younger guests, including the opportunity to explore new ventures like making puzzle quilts. The Greenville Center for Creative Arts will maintain a station to produce various insects to populate a log. Roylco Straws and Connectors Sculpture Zone has a booth designed to introduce children to that medium.

The Art of Healthy Living is sponsored by the University of South Carolina. This area focuses on nutrition and physical activities that will instill a desire for a healthy lifestyle for both children and adults. Combining creative activities with education provides basic information on these critical elements of daily behavior as well as a glimpse into the professions that support them.
New this year is the DRUM Percussion Studio and the Logos Theater emphasizing not just musical instruments, but theatrical costumes. There will be opportunities to create instruments and participate in music sessions.

Extend your weekend and enjoy the atmosphere of lakes, rivers and mountains in and around Greenville. Located in the northern part of the state and nestled in the foothills of the amazing Blue Ridge Mountains, the city offers a wide variety of shops and restaurants and an excellent selection of museums and theaters.
